About Living Lands Living Lands is an agrarian network – a collaborative group of like-minded folks who value local, healthy food and a return to the more natural lifestyle of farming.
We are farmers. There are three of us who have spent years learning how to grow food on this land. We plant, nurture, harvest, and process vegetables, grains, dry beans, chickens and small livestock. We facilitate the work of interns and volunteers who support farm production. We teach gardening in the community and in Nevada City schools.
We are interns and volunteers, here to help and to learn. Growing food is our passion, too, and through our service we make friends, share meals, and grow as individuals and community.
We are land owners. We recognize the potential of our backyards, in providing food to Nevada County. We appreciate the dedication of farmers, interns, and volunteers as they transform the soil of our pastures into “Living Lands.” We are businesses. We embrace local food and distribute it to the community as part of our enterprise. We are restaurants: New Moon, Ike’s Quarter Cafe. We are the Nevada City Farmers Market: Saturday mornings, June-October. We are the Soil Sisters CSA: Offering subscriptions of vegetables, farm fresh.
We are Living Lands Agrarian Network.
